About Oweesta

First Nations Oweesta Corporation is a national Native organization, presently spearheading the efforts of the Coalition and acting as its fiscal agent.  Oweesta is responsible for assisting with the continued development of this Web site and the formulation of a strong Native Financial Education Coalition and presently has staff active with the Coalition’s efforts.

As a certified Native CDFI intermediary, Oweesta’s mission is to enhance the capacity of Native tribes, communities and peoples to access, control, create, leverage, utilize and retain financial assets; and to provide appropriate financial capital for Native development efforts.  For more information about Oweesta visit www.oweesta.org.
