Money Smart Native Youth

In conjunction with Money Smart Week Wisconsin, The Native Financial Education Coalition, the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis worked together with Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College (LCOOCC) extension to present Money Smart: Native Youth:  Sharing Lessons Learned in Native Financial Education.

This event featured presentations from individuals who are delivering financial education to Native youth across the country, with an emphasis on three focus areas:

  • Programs for Native youth in the K-12 classroom setting
  • Extracurricular programs (outside of and after school)
  • Programs designed for youth making the transition from high school to living on their own
