To commemorate Financial Literacy Month which is held annually in April, the Native Financial Education Coalition (NFEC) held a Policy Briefing on Capitol Hill on April 27, 2006. Representatives from congressional offices, federal agencies and tribal governments and organizations attended the event to hear presentations from three model Native programs which have implemented integrated asset building strategies to help improve the lives of their clients and their communities.
